The $100 Pancake
« on: September 28, 2007, 02:41:19 PM »
If any of you have the irresistable urge to have the $100 pancake (breakfast is only $5 for all you can eat), we'er having a Fly-in and pancake breakfast here at our airport (C20) on Sunday Sept 30. Should be a lot of fun and looks like we'll have good weather. Last year was our first time to host a fly in in years. We had over 80 planes come in and served over 600 breakfasts which is a lot more traffic than our airport usually sees. Gotta keep the good old GA traditions alive! ::wave::

Ah heck, just come on up my way.  Wasilla has an IHOP (International House of Pancakes) now!  I'll even play ferry service from Wasilla airport  ;)

Soldotna (SXQ) used to do a pancake breakfast but stopped years ago.  Then we moved to Wasilla and they do a pancake fly in every year over in nearby Palmer--coupled with a short field takeoff clinic!

Any excuse for a fly in is good with me!

An IHOP even?

I'm almost afraid to go to one up here for fear that they removed a lot of the southern items you can get down south...

IHOP!!???? ::complaining: You compare IHOP to fresh pancakes, eggs, and hashbrowns cooked on an open grill with cool planes all around?! ::rofl::

You guys missed out! Good Food, Planes, beautiful day... what more can you ask for?! ::bow:: I'll post some pics as soon as I get them from my friend... I got stuck at the cash table all day so didn't get to see a whole lot of the planes. I just found out there was a beautiful globe swift there that I didn't get to see :'(...  It was a fun breakfast though.
