You guys gotta check this out! First of all I was shocked by the language in this forum (Frank, watch out before you click on this link ;)) and secondly about what that one guy said to our fan about "the little duck" ! ::sick::

Thanks for the warning, however that kind of talk, or rather the meaning/intention that clearly is behind it is something I just ignore, but thanks anyway :)
I just got one question: What could a pilot possibly find offensive about that strip? I for one took it that flying is wonderful so life can be good even if one doesn't make a lot of money, which sounds like a great message to me, sorry I missed the underpaid part :(

the only thing I can think of is he might be thinking that with Chuck we portrait all pilots as being stupid and underperformers.... ::thinking::
but that's like saying Donald Duck makes all sailors look stupid or Homer Simpson gives Nuclear Power Plants a bad name.... ;) ;D
or he misread "pays less than flipping burgers" as "need less skills than for flipping burgers . . .
or he just wanted to cuss at the "Duck" . . .
beats me though because obviously he hasn't read any of our strips and doesn't know what we are about.

You know Mike, the flipping burgers strip is my personal favourite strip of the comic..
They can say whatever they want, that strip sends shivers downs my spine as a wanna-be whenever I read it!

aviation is a funny thing . . . pilots vs. mechanics . . . atc vs. pilots . . . airlines vs. GA . . . rotor vs. stuck wing . . . . ;D

Not to worry about this AvCanada forum, Mike. The Internet is populated by many such condescending, arrogant jerks as those two. Many people act as if the anonymity of hiding behind a keyboard releases them from any obligation to keep a civil discourse. Whenever I see a chatroom or a forum that has one or two people like that, I immediately leave and NEVER return! Leave them to their little dung-heap of an empire, and soon they'll find themselves alone or find themselves banned from the forum.
This is part of why I find this forum so refreshing, because you guys have succeeded so far in keeping it polite. Keep up the fine work, and this ole' Rooster will keep coming back. 8)

I agree with R/C, those foul (fowl) mouth wannabe's are not intelligent enough to understand tongue-in-cheek (beak) humor---and to prove it, they have demonstrated thier lack of skill with the english language ::)
