Title: Minivan question for Mom
Post by: BrianGMFS on August 06, 2007, 01:38:28 AM
Hey Mary,.. is the Minivan a DHC-6 dash 100 or 300? I'm gonna paint one up for Flightsim and I want to get the right model, and if you have a good side view pic I'd love to see it. And also, do you have the roll up skydive door on the 'Van or something else.

LOL TM, anyway, she told me in the chat, where I also got her whole story of how she got started as a pilot (and I saved that in a text-file), that it's a 300.

And I seem to remember her mentioning the door being removed when she hauls jumpers... sounds like no roll up door for her...

Man, you guys are GOOD! ALL correct-o-mundo!!!!! :D
The Minivan is a -300 series and we have no door the entire time she is on contract. We take it off when the plane arrives in town to go to work, and it stays in the shed until the last day of the contract period. The jumpers sewed a big vinyl and velcro contraption that covers the opening for nights when the sky looks like a downpour is imminent... otherwise, there is just an open door back there.
Sorry to have been away from the Coop, it is hard for me to log on while at work. But, I am cheating right now!! ;D I just HAVE to get my Chicken Fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey G-Man, nice to see the familiar pics of McCall, what a great place, and such GREAT folks up there!! That is where my stuffed skunk Pepe' rookied, many years back. Lots of super people...... ;)
We're out of Colorado for now, and are standing by for IA out of Boise... so maybe we will get to the heart of the action up north of here... it just took me an hour+ to sort out all the TFRs!!!! Good grief, what a lot of country afire!!
