Title: Forklift driver safety video from Germany (anything but boring!)
Post by: Frank N. O. on April 22, 2007, 04:42:16 PM
Warning: It goes a little extreme in a Monty Pythonesque (The Holy Grail, the Black Knight fight in particular) way to show what not to do, and what if...
Not for the faint-hearted!

The description is enough to give me a good idea that I've already seen it.

Speaking of forklifts...  when I was working on the loading dock it was an immediate termination offense if you didn't put the parking brake whenever you got off the forklift or ever drove around without the forks as low as possible (short of touching the tips on the ground).  The only warning you got was before you got on the forklift for the first time.

So then I work for this company and I've seen forklifts driving around with the forks at proper impaling height and another one slowly rolling becuase the parking brake wasn't on.   I feel a slight twitch developing...

When  I took forklift training, they had videos simliar but not as grotesque as this. Some people in the course didn't like them.

When that siren on the ambulance was shown like that, all I could think of was the Naked Gun opening credits!
