I take it the smilies mean you weren't offended which was the last thing I wanted, but actually it was inspired from the chat-room names Gilly and then I thought about the tv-series Skippy (or was it a different name?) Skippy/Gibby sounds kind-of similiar doesn't it? I personally call Gil for Gilligan since he calls me Franklin :D (this also is meant to get a laugh, but if it doesn't then please give me a quick notice).
Talk to you later guys (and hopefully gals too since both Happy and Momski have been there as well 8) ) I wonder if we can catch one, or both, of the brothers too.

I was wondering, is there a certain time-frame where the posters here might be online in the chat? Atm this time is best for me and I've met gil and gibbo online at this time often too. I see Brian is listed online in the chat but he hasn't posted since I came there 20 minutes ago.

You stopped posting when I posted the ferry pictures and then you were shown to leave and I check just now after a wait but then it showed you leaving so I think the chat has some messed up cache so I'll watch a little more of the movie I bought today and try again later this morning. I wonder if there's a cache clear function that Stef or Mike could activate that could help the chat system?

Hi Again! |:)\ ::wave:: Long story short, my ISP made an error and cut off my internet, that's why I disappeared. I only just now got it back online and a place to temporarily set my computer, we're still trying to get things sorted. The move did not go well, it was a very bad and rushed mover and we got some stuff damaged. At least we're here now, and the second day we took a drive around this much larger island, which of course is bridge-connected all around and is a fair trot larger than the little fjord-one we left, this one is an hour's drive across or more.
Here's the cool part, after seeing my dad's grave for the first time in two years then we drove by the nearby Odense Airport and a saw a straight-tail Skyhawk! Next to an R44 that was landing as we arrived and Partanavia P-68 and a Learjet or something like that behind them, all around the fuel-station which is not far from the parkinglot outside the fence.
We're bushed but we got our beds set up so we can sleep and my brother is doing a ton of good work getting things set-up right, as opposed to the mover that just threw things in the truck, or rather let his teenage son do it, without much in the way of a plan on what thing should be placed where for the best stability.
I see I got a ton of posts to read and reply to but that'll have to wait a little while, thankfully this forum shows the New-icon until you open the thread/subforum so I likely won't miss anything :)

P.S. I already feel better too so while I don't have much in the way of strength, but a lot of excess weight then I feel less stressed which won't falsely reduce my stamina so I can walk more and get some muscle-mass gained and fat-mass reduced so I can get up in the air again :)

Ok, now I need an explanation. What do you mean by uuuuuhhhhh? Did I write something wrong? I was a bit unsure of a few spelling there since I haven't used those words that much lately. I haven't slept irregularly because I've been out getting booze and strippers if that's what you're hinting at ::rofl::

Question: Why is it that every time I go into the chatroom, I see one or two names there that immediately flash off? I figure the server is reporting whoever was last in the room recently, but it confuses me. Sometimes the log-in lingers even after the person has logged out. Sometimes it quites when the chat updates when you log in, I've seen it too, other times you have to press the refresh browser button get the correct number of log-ins.

Fabo, the Baja 1000 is set to begin Tuesday, 13 November 2007. Race runs from Ensenada to Cabo San Lucas this year, a distance of 1295 miles. This is the longest race they have ever done for the 1000. I am currently in central Mexico (Leon Gto) on a trip, but I have been running back and forth to Baja for the past week. I am returning to the USA by way of Laredo TX, then home on Wednesday. Thursday I go back down to Baja to drop off some fellas.
I will be in Baja on both Monday and Tuesday of next week. On Race day, after the last racer has left the starting line I will transport the head of the Race organization and some VIP's from BF Goodrich from Ensenada to Cabo. Then I will reposition to Loreto where I will pick up my co-pilot and radio operator and we will be airborne during the night hours as airborne command post.
My team is always in contention (top 8 or better), and we will see how well they do this year.
Too bad I'm on the laptop Gilly. I see your in the chatroom, and I'd love to chat with you today.

Yeah, but it sucks even more when one (me) suddently get horribly sleepy and sleeps first 10 hours then 8 hours just soon after, now my sleeping hours are messed up and I gotta get me and my mom to doctor's apointments before noon at the end of the week. I was offline at that time (that's in the very early morning danish time) due to feared computerproblems but that seems to be a damaged soundcard, so I'll try to be online around that time again tonight if I can. Actually, Bara told me that if one leaves the chat by just closing the browser then you're not logged out. That's probably how come some disappear when you log in since that's when the chat program rechecks users logged in, although some are still listed online after loggin in, then refreshing the window will clean them out.
And yes I'm in the chat now ::wave::

I'm just posting this to re-assure people that there has been activity in the chat-room recently, last night I got a nice chat first with Matt (Rooster Cruiser) and then later with Gina (Hookedonflight). So when you got the time and the mood to chat about aviation or something you can try and stop by. For me though atm I'm mainly there evening and night CET (here we just went back to normal time aka wintertime).

My PSU (it turned out) finally gave up and I couldn't turn the computer on for two full days ::eek:: but with the help from my brother I got a new PSU fitted and the rest of the parts checked out and now it seems to work. Turns out the old PSU had been used for just under 3 years, although then again I still got the old PSU from my 1998 PC and it's still working and it was used regularly for several years before I upgraded.
I see I got a ton of posts to catch up on and then I hope to get the chance for some more aviation chat so don't be a strange now Gibbo (and the rest of you) ::wave::

Belive me I'd love to but I'm still on my old computer and it's not handling this too well, and I don't think any java things work at all on this, plus but I've got the new mb ordered (an Asus P5Q-SE) and I'm trying to get a new better cooled tower installed too, an Asus TA-882 in white. Should be here around thursday orfriday.
Edit: Had to reboot since the whole graphics on the browser started getting totally messed up as I started writing this reply so I missed a few typos.

It appears as though the Chat room software has a bug. It seems to retain the name of the last person in there even if they have logged off - oddly, it logs them out when the next person goes in, so you get a lot of "just missed you" type of comments. It needs fixing I reckon.

Best thing to do is when you log in, immediately hit the refresh button on your browser. This is what I do to make sure the people it shows are in there, are still there.

Uhm... it seems that Bara and some of the other guys figured this out a while back, I thought... ::thinking::
If you exit the Chat room by clicking on the "X" over in the top right corner, I believe it logs you all the way out and you do NOT stay in there as a "phantom" chatter to everyone else..... but if you just X out of the pane, or tab, I think you appear to still be in the room.... I think! ::silly::

Gina and I had a nice flying-oriented chat last night although her connection broke several times. Now my main pc is working perfectly again I can finally resume the chat I missed that almost as much as Gina misses flying (and that's saying a lot!).

Sorry I had to bail but the night nursing help for my mom came by and they couldn't wake her, again, and I was afraid this was leading to the third day where she had to go to the hospital. Long story short then despite early warning signs then today she didn't have to go, although she is still tired but at least it's due to more normal reasons today.
Nice to hear from you Fabo and that things were proceeding fine, hope to hear more good news next time we meet in the chat.
