He has a commercial multi and did do a little flight instructing...
He's going to be flying 50 seat regional jets. :o
I think express jet does some of the Northwest Airlink stuff.

Pretty sweet. I only know a few guys here that have made that deal. Controllers are looking pretty good as of late. The wait is down to about 8 months now.

Express jet has been hiring like carzy so no huge surprise. I know of several regionals that are doing that. Don't get me wrong I'm sure they prefer a college degree but not really a huge requirement these days. I know one guy that got hired by mesa that is only 19 with no college experience at all. Congrats to the friend though still no easy task to get hired.

I suspect many regionals now almost prefer no degree... if you don't have a degree you won't be able to jump ship to a major so easily. I'm pretty sure my company thinks in those terms.
