I've seen it before.  I didn't really believe it.  This time though, I built a mask and covered everything but the area immediately surrounding the A and B and  <shouting on>They are the same color!<shouting off>

But I still can't believe it!  ;)

Or make you think that maybe what you're looking at isn't in truth what you think you are looking at. that actually means that maybe I'm typing this message to another forum, via another computer, maybe I'm not in london, probably I'm not who I think I am and....I could start scaring myself..... ::rofl::

So does that mean that when you see blueberries, they're really red?   ;)

Wondered that for a long time.

Okay............

This reminds me of a discovery that, to me, is still amazingly unreal, even though I've read the books on it!  (Well, okay, ONE book.)

Did you know that horses have only ONE PIGMENT in their coats?  So, technically, a black horse is the same color as a grey, as a roan, as a bay, as a chestnut...  etc., etc.

The colors WE see are a result of where that pigment is located inside each individual hair shaft, and, thus, a result of how light is REFLECTED to our eyes.

COOL, or WHAT?!?!?    :o

Gawwwwwwwwwwwd, do I need to get a LIFE, or WHAT?!?!   :D

[And, for all of you who knew this back in 3rd-grade science class, well....  now you know what a mental midget you're dealing with here!!!]    ;)

Neat picture DonYan!!     :D

Illusions have always been fascinating...  it really makes one realize how we are captives of our brainwaves.   :)

Sometimes I wish for optical illusions...  like every time I look at my checkbook, for one.       ::rofl::

Great ones, also the last one DonYan. I actually heard on the radionews recently that computergaming helps the eyesight as opposed to making them "square" as it was said in Denmark at least. To be exact what's improved is the brain's detection of minute details which is often needed in several action-games. Interesting. Of course one should still not overstress the eyes but it was still interesting to hear that in the media.
