Congrats dude.  Isnt it weird now, knowing that you can virtually rent a plane anywhere in the US, and fly anywhere, anytime you want?  It was really a shock to me, and its still kinda unreal.

Congrats!

IFR is a lot to handle at first, but once you're done with it it's not too bad.  ;)

That's one nice thing about this program is they don't beat around the bush.  I had been flying the Seminoles about a week and they had the checkride scheduled.  Sure was nerve racking though, five flights in the airplane and it's time for the checkride.

Only 5?  Wow, I think UND has something like 17 or so, plus like 5 sims.  I dont know the exact number, but I know its a lot more than 5.

I'd have to look but we had a lot of sim time.  Before the actual flying so we had the flows down already.

Congradulations, all of you! I hadn't flown for 12 years due to family problems.  I have gotten my 170 to the paint shop with an instructor.  Now I've passed my biannual.  I'm just waiting for the FAA decision on my medical.  I think the application is good, but I haven't heard anything.  It's been four weeks.  If I don't hear anything by six weeks, I'm getting with AOPA and find out how to bug them.  I NEED TO FLY!  8)

AOPA is an EXCELLENT resource for you.   :)

Good luck!    8)
