Certainly would be a scary sight. One would think that Russians, from all the nations, would have a respect for snow/ice effects.

I think they haven't reached the acceleration altitude yet, but the flaps definitely move, the part that's free from snow was under the surface before they were extended for departure. But anyway, scary  ::eek::
