Been a gripe of mine for years now that innovation in this country is dead because we're afraid that anything new might fail. Then we'd get sued or fired or whatever. So we just keep using the tried and true. For example a friend of mine was arguing that he like super cubs and similar old aircraft, as opposed to newer kit planes, because they were tested and all their failing were known. I told him based on that theory he should be driving a Model T. ::banghead::

Well said buddy!
It's also the reason why we don't have any more heavy airtankers or helicopters acutally designed to fight fire.
