Just found out Flt Lt Jon Egging "Red 4" died in the crash |:)\ :'( facing West.

what happened? mechanical? or did they run into eachother?

Not sure exactly Mike but from what video available and eye witness reports say it sounded like it was mechanical as usual just have to wait until the reports come out. It happened just before the end of the display when they reform for the final split. Not sure but the pilot could of stayed with the Hawk to make sure it avoided houses. Worst part is his family was there when it happened :'( All Hawks with the R.A.F have been grounded.

thats sad, alot of bad news this weekend, wing walker dies, red arrows crash, first air 737 crahes...wow...then a tornado touches down in a town about an hour from here. and the snowbirds could have had the same fate as they were flying through a really bad wind/rainstorm....
