Did you see the comments made in response to our blog? (does everybody even read our blogs ? ? )

Apparently, a lot of people didn't get the joke.....

Yanno... this is one of those insider jokes that only aviators will understand right away.  Good thing Stef explained it with an example in the blog in order to educate the non-aviators.

I Had something like this once in the simulator.
We were about ten aircrafts flying online on IVAO network from Eilat in Israel to Beirut in Lebanon, it was kind of a support flight for the Lebanese when they had a really rough time over there. I was flying a C182, didn't know anything about navigation, didn't know what CVFR is, nothing, I just followed the other planes. It was all nice until it was time to land in Beirut, it was dark and I wasn't familiar with the airport. One thing you should know about Beirut's airport, it have three runways- 03/21, 16/34 and 17/35 and I was cleared for 17, and I didn't know anything about how runways are numbered and began the approach for what I thought was runway 17. 200 feet before the runway I could read the runway's number, it said 16 and the controller didn't said anything during the approach, I asked the controller "Beirut approach, is it possible that runway one seven is temporarly numbered as one six? november tango yankee", the controller chuckled and said "only until after you clear the runway!"

Like the one Chuck told Sally to tell Julio the POI form the FAA said the NDB/DME of the 172 is inop (or something like that).

Ha, I'm glad you like it.  I do, too -- so much so that when I saw it on a Canadian site, I e-mailed the guy and asked if he minded me using it here.  He was totally cool about it and said he'd just appreciate the credit.  So...  Jason Pineau, you rock!!   ::bow::

(And, not to go off-topic, but he is at:  www.jasonpineau.com (http://www.jasonpineau.com)   :D )

Yeah, I just can't help it....  love that airplane.....    ;D

Hi Karl!
 ::wave::

Good to see you in the coop!

We actually have another strip which was based (although this time very very losely) on one of your ideas.
I need to look for it so I can show you what we did. You may not recognize your idea anymore but reading through your last email gave us an idea if I remember right.

Thanks for continuing to write!
