Title: Airshow Day!
Post by: Fabo on September 05, 2010, 12:16:11 AM
for the lack of better subject.
YAYYY! Airshow, albeit a small local one, today and tomorrow...
F4U-4 Corsair was there... I understand Chuck now...
Bo-105 was there, and you know what that means.
B-25J was not there, but if it were to be, Bo-105 would have never come...
and an airline captain that went in his plane to read papers while WWII era fighter flew all about ::thinking:: ::loony::
alas, no pictures (yet) as I forgot my phone home. I will see if I can get to Corsair tomorrow, as I am not officially on staff anymore (I had my last shift today, but I still have my airport ID)

Looks like I will not make it to the airport in time to take pictures of Corsair from the Apron where it was parked for the night (my dad took my airport ID, while taking moms car to work, gotta drive to HIS work, take the ID out, THEN drive to airport) BUT, I will take pictures from behind the fence.
it is RedBulls austrian corsair btw

M'kay, since there were very few Corsair pictures, I took my own.
This one is on the USS Midway Carrier which they turned into a museum in San Diego. Spent almost all day on that ship and still didn't even see 10% of what's there to see. It's awesome! Chuck would be in heaven!

You saw the Midway? Isn't she awesome? I loved it. My woman was kinda done after 4 hours but I am glad she lasted that long (plus we had been looking at boats all day the previous days) but I could have stayed another 3 days!
Did you see this plane? The guy there told me it was in Top Gun. Not the type, we all know that, but this actual plane. What a piece of history ;)
