Oh great! A retired 747 being used as a house and they decide to call it GREEN?!?!?! Gimme a break! ::sick::
Typical PC horsedump I would expect from a Malibu tree-hugging wacko. ::rambo::
RC
Are you against the house? or just against Californians?
I want to see the house next time I fly around down there. If you use the wings as roof, maybe you can use the tanks for your shower and such (if you can ever get the Jet-A smell out of the inside of the tanks). Also, buying a house for 35k sounds appealing to me! ;)

I do wonder about the carbon foot-print they left when they decided to helicopter all the parts in with a Chinook . . . . ;D ::whistle:: ::whistle::
400 GAL per hour people! Not sure if they know that in Malibu . . . .

Go Here:
http://www.winvian.com/
Wait for it to load and go to the menu on the left.. "Cottages".
Then on the right scroll down to the helicopter cottage and click "explore"

This is exactly what I mean! Yet these characters insult everyone's intelligence when they say that this house is "Green."
I'm not against Californians Mike... I live in San Diego after all. I just have a strong dislike for such a self-rightious a-hole proclaiming his house design is Green when nothing could be further from the truth. You can't have it both ways, people. ::complaining:

and closing down all those highways, just to get parts across. Those Deisel engines will be pumping out CO2 by the boot load and be drinking fuel at a good rate as well.

That's why I like Nevada! ;)
It's cool to not melt down but rather re-use the old gal though, just call it recycled instead of "green".... ...but then you might not make it on TV.... ::whistle:: ::loony::

"Everywhere you look, you think you're on a plane!"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Yeah... if it'd crashed into a building at some point. Then again, maybe they are installing cinder block bulkheads in 'em nowadays...

Apparently flying and airworthy DC-9s are going for $80,000 right now. Wonder what the rate is for one that could get there with a ferry permit.

::thinking::
hmmmm.... if it costs you like 20k to get the plane where it needs to be it would still be cheaper than buying a house......
