Title: Aviation Acres
Post by: Stef on July 20, 2009, 03:55:54 PM
I remember people in here talking about finding real estate right next to airports and airstrips.... So I thought I'd just post this link here of the people of "Aviation Acres" who wrote us:
http://www.aviationacres.com/ (http://www.aviationacres.com/)

Looks pretty neat!

I ever win a big lottery prize, I might think about this place in upstate NY. http://www.silohome.com/

Just a few miles west of Platsburgh, it's a cold war era Atlas missile silo that has had it's control center turned into a home, with another house built on top at ground level.

The silo's former access road has been turned into a runway and there are several other homes with planes there as well.

Pushback tug... you can see one in the picture just in front of the Gulfstream

John sure has come a long way since the Ercoupe he bought back when he was on Welcome Back Kotter.

He's also got an Eclipse and an old Morraine Paris Jet.
