Title: Valentine's Day
Post by: Rooster Cruiser on February 04, 2009, 06:58:05 AM
Hmmmmmmmmm...  It would appear that either Hans is a "Choco-holic" or his door swings both ways...   ::thinking::

I've never seen any reference to a Mrs Hans... Hmmmmm again!

Meaning no disrespect here, but it gets a Rooster to wondering.   ???

And you call yourself a chicken winger ;) me thinks you haven't read all strips, there are several references, and at least 1 picture. ::wave::

Haha! What a discussion!  ::rofl::

Yes, indeed, Hans has a wife! Thank you all for coming to his defense!  :) I assure you that Hans' relationship to Jason is purely chocolate-related!

OK, so Hans is merely a choco-holic.  My apologies.  Sheesh!    ::)

HA HA! I just saw this thread. That's great, we were talking about that if somebody draws the wrong conclusions. . .  ;)
Poor Jason! He probably gets that a lot  ;D

There are actually drawings of Hans's wife as well and at least one strip. It's a two-liner and I am not sure if it's all finished and drawn out yet.....
She's not all completed as a character yet, but we do know she's a good cook! (see Ragwings post...)

Maybe she'll be like Jessica Rabbit: not really bad, just drawn that way.

Isn't this Mrs. Hans on the wall there?

Frank

P.S. I was going to write Mrs. "lastname" but it seems that only Nobu has a lastname from what I can remember, and maybe indirectly Capt. Ed also since he's based on the real person. This made me wonder, does any other characters have a lastname set. I remember that you said that there was a list with the aircraft's full ID so maybe you made lastnames for the characters too?

Oy!  Back to Feng Shui!   ::banghead::  Well if that is Mrs Hans on the wall, she doesn't appear very Feng Shui or Hong Kong Phooey for that matter!   ::rambo::

YAY!!! A thousand points for Oddball !!   |:)\  ::bow::  |:)\  ::bow::  |:)\

It's "Heinrich the Rooster"! Hans's uncle who built Roost-Air before Hans took it over with his Yogurt background. I think it's mentioned in the "Birdseye View" blog on the homepage but I'd have to look.
We had a whole spin-off series planned of Heinrich the Roosters adventures in WW1 and/or WW2 as flyer in the airforce. Maybe some flashbacks or a "WWHD?" (What would Heinrich the Rooster do?) thing but we didn't get to it yet.

Hans's last name btw is "Übergröβenbacher" or in English letters "Uebergroessenbacher". I don't think we've used it in anything yet but the joke is that "Uebergroesse" roughly translates to "big boy" or "XXL" or "oversized" (Literally it's "oversized"). The other funny thing is supposed to be the long name and that it sounds very very German.
There are soooo many ideas and so little time.....

More trivia for all you guys who really care!  ::wave::

And Rooster: I hope this won't keep you from buying the book, but the Feng Shui jokes ARE in the new book, actually 4 of them.... Sorry!  ::sick::

Only thing preventing me from buying the book is a severe lack of steady employment.   ::eek::  It's mighty slow out there right now, but I'll send you an order once I get things squared away.  These last few weeks I've been rubbing two nickels together... hoping they'll mate.  ::sweat::
