In a sailboat, you do not have complete discrition on where you go, you have certain angles of wind to contend with.
One day, I sailed slightly into one of the military practice zones clipping the corner of the zone during a military exercise. The Canadian destroyer was not very friendly and ordered be back out. The waves were about 5 feet high and I took several over the side trying to turn around. It took longer to sail back out against the wind then it would have taken to complete the transit.
Yes, the Canadians do have warships and know how to ruin a poor sailors day.

Not really, Canadians in general are good people. These sailors believed that they were protecting me from being sunk.
I just do not understand their fanaticism for the Queen of England.

Canadians with warships, what next, danes with submarines? - Seriously though, how come that site had no funnies about Denmark? As someone who's lived her for 30+ years let me tell you that in the last 5 years at least there have really been plenty of material for articles like that!
