My dad put one of ours into a full throttle power dive and tried to pull up........needless to say the wings went one way and the fuselage went another into the trees ::rofl::

by the looks of it big surface area,big prop large control surface movements and a lot of luck just like when a F-15 Eagle lost its wing in a training accident and still managed to land safely a few years back.

Haha, yeah, definately a fake (Mike's link).
Of course there has been at least one aircraft that did land with basically just one wing, although that aircraft had a lifting-body mid-section as well so it only lost a smaller part of it's lift and stability.
