Title: This is enough to make you weep.
Post by: Rooster Cruiser on July 02, 2008, 04:26:42 AM
You might remember when this accident happened... March 5, 2000.

Southwest Airlines Flight 1455 from Vegas overshot the runway at Burbank

The plane crashed through the airport fence, careened across the street and ended up with a collapsed landing gear, right next to a gas station.

But that's not the amazing part - Look at the picture below.

Try 9.48

Anyway, were there any serious injuries with that accident?

Dunno, but if the picture is (like I recall) from Midway overrun, it was one or two fatalities only.

I took this on a club ride sometime in 2001. Of course, this seemed terribly expensive at the time... *sigh*

Hey Velo--I just bought a Specialized (can't remember model) carbon fiber bike the day before I came on contract, only got to take a short ride  before I left but it's reaaally nice--makes my Bianchi Alfana almost seem clunky  (brought Bianchi with me--I'll break in the new one when I get home)!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too bad we don't live closer.............. :-\
