Title: Finally got a job!

I got my final/firm offer for ZSE yesterday. All my medicals cleared and the doc even said I was in exceptional health for my age (perfect vision and better than perfect hearing). I had to argue with the FAA medical people because they didn't believe that my hypertension went away on its own, its amazing was losing 90 pounds will do to your health.
Anyway, I report to Oklahoma city on July 10th for my initial training, then on Sept 23 for my facility training. Anyway, it was a long road to get here, and an even longer one still ahead of me.

Congratulations. I sure hope it's amazing what loosing 90 lbs will do, but since I could remember the effects of 6 weeks of one small walk every morning and loosing 13-14 lbs then I can believe it.

Why not HEAR HERE or HERE HEAR???????

The phrase is correctly spelled, "Hear Hear!" As in, "I Hear your good tidings/news/whatever."
I don't know what this is a contraction of, but there are a few other phrases in the English language like that. In the US Navy, sailors reply to an order by saying, "Aye Aye!" This is basically a contraction of, "I hear, and I obey!"
