Title: The Manual
Post by: Rooster Cruiser on May 27, 2008, 02:25:36 PM
Man, ain't this the truth!  I've seen B25 and P51 POH's that were much smaller than today's POH for a C172.  The latest Chelton manual I went through for a PC12 was a nightmare...   ::) :o

You should buy a gun here in the states! Woah !!  ::eek:: ::unbelieveable::
I bought a new Glock a while back and it must have had 30 pages of safety warnings with big red letters IN ALL CAPS before you got to the cleaning instructions.
(don't stick it in your mouth, don't aim it at your cat, don't use it as a hammer, . . . that kind of stuff)
The operation is quite simple since it only has a few moving pieces....

At least that is gun, but if you have it on, say, a toy soldier, something is going bad...

I wondered why when i was doing pistol practice in the army they gives us all guns that had the flags with "BANG" on them that popped out when you pulled the trigger   ::thinking:: ::whistle::

Are you folks even allowed to own handguns over there?

Hmmm...Now compare that to a Cessna POH.  They're pretty tiny little pamphlets by comparisons, and Chuck can't seem to remember that info!  ::loony::

YAY! Tundra woke up from hibernation!!!  ::wave::

Isn't that great though that Cessna manuals aren't that thick?!

I kinda like their maintenance manuals . . . . waaaaay easier to read than helicopter maintenance manuals....

Lovely strip mates! Some years ago I bought a Breitling cosmonaut (???) the one with the 24 hours in a single 360 degrees. it had a manual inside, to teach you use the calculator on the ring. I will say it was compact - merely a 10 pages - but they were worth a math manual. You wonder if I say I'm unable to use it? :-) By the way, the same thing that happened with Chuck seems to happen with checklists too: when I had started flying the C152 checklist consisted of a page front and back. Now, with a DA40, it consists of a 10 pages....They were easier times!
Haha Mike, too fun the instructions with the handgun! ::rofl:: ::rofl::

"Now, with a DA40, it consists of a 10 pages..."  Thats great cause the chieftan I fly has a checklist that is front and back only.   ::unbelieveable::  And the POH isn't much cause it is a piper manual.
