It's definitly possible to fly without beeing able to see. You'll just need some special equipment in your plane, similar to what these two guys use:
"Two blind pilots were both wearing dark glasses. One is using a guide dog and the other is tapping his way with a cane.
Nervous laughter spreads through the cabin, but the men enter the cockpit and close the door. The engines start up. The passengers begin glancing around for a sign of a practical joke. None forthcoming.
The plane moves faster and faster down the runway and the people setting in the window seats realize they are headed straight for the water at the edge of the airport. As it begins to look as though the plane will plough into the water, panicked screams fill the cabin.
At that moment, the plane lifts smoothly into the air. The passengers relax and laugh a little sheepishly and soon all retreat into their magazines secure in the knowledge that the plane is in good hands.
In the cockpit, one of the blind pilots turns to the other and says," ya know Bob, one of these days, they're gonna scream too late and we're all gonna die.""

There might actually be a reason a non-pilot would need to either find the lounge or at least know where he/she is, however the drive-thrue places with braile in the driver's side now that's a whopper! Speaking of which, I heard a comic say he read a sign at a burger drive-thrue that said: Picture menus are available at request. And the lady at the window said it was for people who couldn't read, the comic then asked how someone who couldn't read would find that out, and she seriously said: It's right there on the sign! If they had someone with them that could read then they wouldn't need the pictures, and if they were alone.... ::loony::

I tried finding the picture but I must have erased it but: There is an ATM in Vegas that has a sign next to it that says: "If you don't speak English pick up the phone provided next to this machine, press '1' and wait for the help menu where you can select your language"
