Title: Arkansas storm damage
Post by: spacer on April 04, 2008, 10:59:28 PM
Last night, we had some twisters roll through our neighborhood, and quite a few houses were thrashed. Honestly, I didn't even think about the airport until this morning, when I went to pick up my Blazer, which was finally roadworthy again.
On the way home, I went to the airport to see how well it had weathered the storm.
In a nutshell, not well. Of all the airplanes on the ramp, there was one that escaped damage: a funky old Tomahawk. Go figure.

Yeah, saw a small blurb about that on the weather channel. What a drag.

Carnage... :'( My bro-in-law lives right near there. He said it was a pretty hectic time... I think the twister was about a mile from his house. I've flown into that airport seveal times. Glad I didn't happen to be there when this happened ;)
