since i cant do it in the missing link ill do it here instead lol: for any one over this side of the Atlantic and can get to Perth International Airport out at scone (EGPT) i should be there on June 21st doing a small static/flying disply wi me Radio Controlled models. there is some sort of fly in at EGPT and some one at the airport asked if the club I'm a member of could turn up wi a few models to show and fly....but of course that is if any one here is intrested or able to come up.

Let's see now---that's right at 5000 miles from here at 165 knots=26.3 hours with a 1.7hr reserve at 30 gallons an hour=840 gallons less 156 gallons in the wing tanks....... I'll need to install a 690 gallon ferry tank in the cabin and at 6 pounds per gallon will put me about 3,500 pounds over gross-------initial climb will be a tad slow but I think it's doable. Now if I can figure out how to pay the $7,560 round trip gas bill I'll be all set................... ::loony::

Hey daddy Airtac,
No worries! We'll steal a Minivan.... when they go overseas, they go out at approximately 5000 pounds over gross... I asked this guy who did lots of ferries, "So, what on earth does it FLY like, that heavy?!?!!?" ::eek::
And he just shrugged and said "A heavy Twin Otter."

Yeah, yeah, that sounds good. LOTS of sandwiches.. maybe some winter clothes since it may change seasons by the time we get there.. Oh, and I could use a copy of "War and Peace" to keep me occupied in back while you fly...... ::whistle::

I don't think so, I already told her about the Mother Hen title, I just wanted to show the edited sign I made after the pm ;) It was also her that made me post your NOTAM :D However, if she got mad, she only has a Twin Otter, even a sub-100hp car can easily outrun that :D

Just because I'm ALWAYS LAST to get my Nomex on (it catches on my fancy NEW Shopping-Bag-Halter-Top), LAST out of the chocks, LAST to get to the runway, LAST to get to the fire, and LAST to get back to the barn at night, that doesn't mean you should PICK on us slow-poke Debilitated Dopey Dunce-like DeHavilland Drivers..... :'( :'(
I mean, we have enough of a complex as it is already..... every time I call in on Unicom somewhere in the remote wastes of the interior West, SOME smart aleck invariably anwers my "..entering a left downwind for Runway 20" call with "Ohhhh, Great! She'll be here in about 20 minutes, then!" ::eek::
Not to mention when there's a crosswind, the response over the radio has an additional: "You'd better let Pepe' take over!" :o Pepe', of course, being my small, filthy, fuzzy stuffed skunk who rides along everywhere I go..... ::loony::
I tell ya, it's enough to make me want to ACT OUT..... oops, gotta go, there's the phone.............. therapist calling......

I'm trying to continue my counseling... you know we had quite a large therapy group last summer in PIH, and we had long sessions every day, to work on our "issues"... the Doctor presiding over the insanity was Dr. Greene.... believe you know him....
