Pilot speak
I have to admit I zone out when pilot speak gets really technical. And with technical, I mean stuff like regulations and form numbers etc. But I sure have learned a lot of aviation lingo since I started drawing this comic! Maybe even more than Sally.
Think I see a typo: if Julio is talking about the Twin Otter, that’s a DHC-6 (as in de Havilland Canada)
O dear, i’m not a pilot, but the only thing i had to google was the 135. Gues that flightsims are indeed more than games. 🙂
Oops! Thanks for pointing that out! I hereby retract my statement about being better at aviation lingo than Sally.
I’ve never heard anyone refer to a twin otter by its type number. It’s usually the Twin, the Otter or even (in one annoying case) the Twotter.
I’m sure most of you know about the “Turbo Encabulator”, which is a good example for technically savvy people to experience how others feel when they have to listen to techno-babble, even it it’s all real: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXW0bx_Ooq4
