Digging the Piper out of the snow
I’ve got my snow shovel sharpened, oiled and ready. But temperatures here have risen to cozy 5°C, and yesterday evening we even had 10°C. Not that I miss the snow so much, as long as there is enough in the skiing areas. At least I don’t have to dig out any vehicles and ensure that nobody slips on the sidewalk in front of my house. But I have to admit that I do love a little bit of snow once in a while during the winter. We’ll see! There are still a few months to go!
This month, we’ve been everywhere from -10f (-23c) to 45f (7c) with a bit of rain (snow goes away fast then) which, after those really cool days, was a bit warmer than they were calling for. Yesterday was that high of 45f (7c) and today? 24f (-5c) More snow probably this weekend
Come to CYQR! All runways bare and dry, but the snowy, semi-cleared road to your hotel will make you want to take off again real quick.
Ice scraping the windows of your girlfriends car in the early morning. Only to realize that her red car is the one next to the neighbours red one in the car park.
Neighbour happy as well!
It’s been high of 80F to a low of 70F for the past week here in Southeast Louisiana. Not happy. Air conditioner going full blast.
The whole area shuts down if we even have a touch of ice.
@Magnoire: I hope you don’t mind me asking, and I don’t want to sound impolite either, but do you actually have the air conditioner at full blast, with only 70 – 80 °F (21.1 – 26.6 °C)? That doesn’t seem so hot (at least to me), even with high relative humidity. Cheers
Somehow this reminds me of the classic ad where a guy scrapes all the snow and ice off a car then presses the remote to see the car next to the one he cleaned off unlock…
