Changing a beacon

First off: We’ve launched a Patreon Page last week to fund our ambitions of going animated! You may have noticed the not-so-subtle button underneath the comic strip. Thank you to all the generous people who have already subscribed as Patrons! Behind the scenes, we’re already working hard on our first big trial animation. When I say “big” I mean a bit longer than two minutes. But since we’re starting from scratch and this is our first time, that is about as big a project as we feel comfortable starting with. We’re already giddy with excitement and can’t wait to see the final product!

As luck would have it, Patreon has had some major website issues starting two days after we began to promote our page. So to all of you who wrote us, telling us about experiencing various problems, please try again! Apparently everything seems to be working now.

On to today’s strip: I’m sure pretty much everybody on this planet will be able to identify with Julio. In fact, it seems more than half of my time at work is spent on getting things out of the way so I can do some actual work. Sometimes the first item of the daily to-do-list takes up almost the whole day, and sometimes so many things pop up along the way, that the to-do-list is longer at night than it was in the morning. Especially everything related to software and computers, e.g. fixing something on the website, setting up my accounting software, etc. always takes up at least three times as long as planned. On the rare occasion that something works on the first try and takes up less time than I thought, I feel highly suspicious to the point that I can’t even be happy about it.
