Back from Évora
So I arrived back in Vienna last midnight from my short trip to Portugal where I visited the air show in Évora. I really had a great time there! I spent my time talking to fans and signing books at the booth of Flyby Pilot Store and was surprised at how many people actually have heard of Chicken Wings before. Thank you everybody for stopping by and making me feel like a star! :-)
The real stars of course were all the awesome pilots who entertained the masses with their various performances. I didn't really get to see a lot of it, because I had my nose in one of our books drawing little Chucks most of the time, but I managed to see some really awesome aerobatics with "normal" aerobatic planes, helicopters and jets. My personal highlight was watching low flybys of the B-25 Mitchell that was at the show!
And I have to say, I got a very good impression of Portugal! It's a really nice country with extremely friendly, open and easy going people! If you ever have the chance, you should definitely pay it a visit! Unfortunately I only caught a little glimpse of the cities of Évora and Lisbon, but I liked them both very much and they looked to me as if I could feel at home there within days. So I definitely have to get back there to do some more sightseeing in a more relaxed manner!
