Airlines vs. General Aviation?
Hi again, everybody!
So, it seems that Delta Airlines has set out on an Anti-General-Aviation-Campaign. The AOPA is all over this and many GA pilots are upset because Delta wrote their mileage-members an email blaming General Aviation for airline delays.
What they forgot though was that some of their frequent fliers are also pilots. And most pilots know that the airlines almost always get delayed because of their own scheduling practices and also because of something none of us can influence (yet) . . . . the weather!
They made the little guys mad. And when they do that, they make us mad as well!
Since we are fending for the General Aviation crowd we came up with a strip to poke a little fun at the situation (as always), but also to raise awareness about the big planes trying to push the little ones out of the sky.
I wonder if they thought about where they will get their future pilots from if they succeed??
So if you have a second, help out the AOPA! You can read up more on the subject in these AOPA articles here:
Airlines demand special treatment.
