Here to help...
Howdy dear aviators and comic fans! Hope you like this week's comic! Mike and me were cracking ourselves up when we came up with this strip. :-) If you're not familiar with aviation terms: The FAA is the "Federal Aviation Administration", the federal agency responsible for safety in civil aviation. Although they do a very important job, they' not exactly the most popular people in the industry, especially when they come to check on you or your company. It's like the police in a way: Everybody knows we need them, but you don't necessarily want to run into a traffic check yourself...
So "I'm from the FAA and here to help" is a popular oxymoron and one of the shortest (and oldest) aviation jokes out there!
If you ever don't get the joke, be sure to check our pilot lingo encyclopedia. If whatever you want to know is not explained to your satisfaction, or you have a completely different question, don't hesitate to contact us! We try to keep our encyclopedia as accurate and complete as reasonably possible for a comic website! :o)
Finally, like the beginning of every month, we would like to humbly remind you that it's particularly effective if you vote for us on the various voting sites we're listed in! Especially on Best Aviation Sites, because we've got a serious chance of getting into the top then there! (Pretty please!)
