Not a bad idea, you have to admit. Although pizza tastes good in most conditions, except maybe frozen, I also prefer it to be at least slightly warm.
Thinking about it, somebody should take this idea and create heated mugs. I don’t know how prevalent Christmas markets are in the States. But around here, we have them everywhere. The traditional drink sold at these markets is hot wine punch, based on mostly red wine and spices. I only partake in it occasionally, but it always bothers me that, when you get the mug, the wine is so hot, you can barely drink it andthe mug burns your fingers. Then there’s a brief period when the wine has just the right temperature, not too hot and not too cold. To me, that period usually last for about two small sips. After that, the wine is so cold that it doesn’t taste good anymore. I wonder why there aren’t thermos mugs or something out there. I pay deposit for those cups anyway.
It’s a scientific fact, that a healthy diet doesn’t reduce your risk of dying at all. Also, what would life be like without pizza? Right? Case closed. Although I have to say that, the older I get, the more I get picky and sensitive about the stuff I eat, and I also get more conscious about my health. Recently I tried to reduce my intake of sugar. It’s really hard! I heard about people who manage to cut out processed sugar out of their diet completely. I wonder if I could do that. It would literally turn shopping into a scavenger hunt, where 90% of all products are just there for distraction.
Is anybody in here on a special diet? Anybody who’s on a ketogenic, paleo or primal diet or something like that? Because that concept sounds really interesting, but I just can’t seem to find the time to get started and try it out.
One of the keys to being able to survive as a cartoonist is a frugal lifestyle. So, I can understand Chuck’s impulse to save a buck here and there. They all add up, in the end. But in my opinion, being frugal is mostly being smart about the big investments, such as your house, your car, etc. Or, as in Chuck’s case, aviator watches. For his latest watch, Chuck could have gotten himself about 500 pizzas! I know how I would choose. But then, I’m no watch collector.
Those of you who have all our books probably have noticed that we like to throw a Snoopy or Peanuts reference in each one. What can we say, we just really like Snoopy! And who doesn’t, really? t think it’s hard to come up with a more universally liked cartoon character. Also, everybody loves pizza, so today’s strip is probably very likable …
