Is it just me or is the one on the second picture marked with Slovak State of WW II markings? And by any chance, are they Jak 11s or Texans?

Yakkity Yaks.....
Yak-52's. There's a guy at mom's old home airport in Vermont that imports em' to the states. Nice airplanes.

See, I thought they were some WWII era vets due to camo, stars and all.. (actually the stars should have told me that those are not Texans)

Fabo, the T-6 Texan / SNJ / Canadian Harvard is a taildragger. That makes it easy to distinguish them from a Yak 52 or Nanjing.

The Black Yak, G-CBRH is Lithuanian originally I think.
And much photographed it seems:

Barry, the owner was busy assuring us at the weekend that it's a very easy aeroplane to fly...
I think I want one ;-)

Well, I finally have a minute to post a few pictures of the pretty country where we've been doing our training... minivan and all...
There is still plenty of SNOW in the northern Rockies.... snow pellets, snow showers, snow storms, old snow, new snow, snow drifts, snow and rain.... you get the picture.

Well, unless you're in love with both of them (which would generate kinky thoughts to somebody with a dirty mind... so I've heard), the one you're not in love with is going to be mad at you. Hmmmm. I'm not sure which one I'd rathter have be mad at me... either one is terrifying.
