Los Anchorage Huh
I had to turn down a trip there for the aviation show---a friend was going to fly his 185 up if I'd go along, unfortunely, I had to be here for business so he's going by airline and I miss a fun trip Bang head Bang head

So should Bob (CJ-5pilot) and I be looking for you at the Trade show next month?   Drinking  I'm planning to fly the tundra toy down to Wassilla, hook up with Bob then head into the trade show.  If the weather's nice I might be brave and fly into Lake Hood from Wasilla.  It's just across the road from the trade show.

Oh, and bummer about missing the trip.  I'm planning to fly tundra toy down to the states next summer.

A 150 in a place called Windy Pass?  Sounds like an interesting ride.

Now I try to grab some ridge lift as I'm going through there.  I can usually get 500 to 1000ft for free.  Grin

Just a neat advertisment for a local Concrete company. This a steam roller back from the day when they were steamrollers.

I love old machines.

Here's a picture of the other DC-4 that Brooks uses regularly.  It is a sister ship to the one that went down.  It's a fairly recent picture, I just had that camera developed (disposable).

Externally it's identical to the one that crashed.

Not to worry Mom, got you covered.  Here a few shots from my first trip though windy pass in tundra toy.  Was in May as I recall.

Wow, Phil -- those are just beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!  Very nice........   Bow
Mom: Awesome pictures in the tru sense of the word  salute I so much want to try and experience some of the fun you have, just once. I bet the jumper-comic and me could do a dueling-comics rutine Cheesy I'm often pretty good for quick comebacks, especially the kind all laugh at, including the person that might be the targe Smiley
 Frank

Frank, I know you would LOVE this guy...  so very, very silly!  He makes us laugh all day long.   Cheesy

We were chatting earlier about Team America and giving "The Signal" -- crazily waving your arms over your head...  today we were doing training for a spotter (up front with me) and had a load of (real) jumpers to drop on a "simulated" fire....  we dropped down from altitude to check out the "jumpspot" the new spotter guy picked, and when we rolled out in the canyon bottom, all I could see was leaping crazy people, all giving me "The Signal"....  I didn't think they'd remember from last summer but the crazy idiots were just going berserk, and it looked SO funny!  We were cracking up.  How nuts...  just a pretty little green clearing on the side of this steep mountain, full of insanely hyperactice leaping Druids.

Some days I really wonder if I need medication!     Wink

You're on, now I just got to convince them to drive to the airport. I already asked about landing in the parking lot and the "corvette" owners in the hotel were not impressed---in case I blow dust on their cars..... (There is a corvette convention in town this weekend).

Now, do I have to get naked women in the pics too.........
