Mt. Saint Helens with Mt. Adams in the background.

Sitting on the 737 waiting to push, these guys taxi'd right behind us!

If you look close, you can see the afterburners on this one

Cool pics!

We flew Mt. St. Helens for a gov't show-me trip, must have been in the early 90s.  It was a shock to see the damage still visible, the miles and miles of trees that looked like snapped toothpicks.  We had to look inside the crater, and the steam coming out of the fissures made the landscape look so spooky...  it was an eerie place...  like another planet, all different shades of grey.  We were glad to get out of there.

Yea if you look inside that crater, you can see the new dome buliding.  Its grown something like 500 yards in the last year or two.  Everyone back there is scared its gonna blow again.

Well, there are cobwebs in my brain here, but as I recall, it was ALL quick...  snappy and quick and smooth.

But for a pea brain like me, well, of course it would be!!!    Grin

We went out and did some aerobatics and I was just a blithering idiot...  it was great fun for sure.   Grin

I see nothing to make rude comments on ... Is this before or after flying?  If this is before, the smile after must have been epic!

The sky and land joined for one brief moment, then we flew - the ground a receding memory for just a little while.

I will admit that the lid you're wearing makes me think that you're about to pull a Grumman Wildcat off the flight deck of the Enterprise circa 1942.   I mean that in a good sense.
