You guys trying to p*** of Mike and other "chopper" pilots?  >:D

Ya know, honestly, you all look alike to me.  Your all just dots on my screen.  Some move fast, other slow.  I hate slow ones.

It was pretty funny actualy, as part of my private course here at UND we have to observe another student pilot, which mainly consists of just taking a short airplane ride, and pointing out how much he screws up and the fact that you can do much better.  Anyway, I took one with a buddy of mine in a Seminole (twin engine trainer we use) and the CFI on climb out turns to me and asks, "so how do you like the semi compared to the warrior?"  i could tell he had a massive ego, and frankly i was tired and all i wanted to do was sleep.  I turned back to him and said, "really, its no different to me, your just another blip in my sky that frankly moves to fast for me to sequence you in my VFR traffic, but to damn slow to put you in with my IFR guys, your a mut."  I thought his droping mouth was gonna put a hole in the floor of the plane.  He composed himself and asked, "ATC?"  I replied with a grin and "Yup..."

ATC: ROFL That was awesome!!  ::rofl:: ::bow:: |:)\

Phil: G.I.Joe aka Action Force had models of real birds when I was young, the Cobra gunship and the Tomcat (I had the later, had being the keyword  :'( ). The later ones I've seen however were a bit on the cheap sci-fi side.

I liked how Airwolf could distinguish between a helicopter and an airplane just by the radar reflection.

Actually with a trained eye, and relative motion, you can make out the difference between a chopper and a plane

LOL Score one for the Mikey!!  ::rofl:: ::rofl:: ::rofl::

And if they use the Orange County Choppers Comanche Stealth bike then they aint seeing anything!

Frank

P.S. Did you know that someone in England made a car that looks like a F117 on wheels? Central cockpit, tons of edges just like the centerpart of the F117 (that btw is now also retired like the Tomcat I only just read). I saw it on Discovery but I haven't found it online ever, and since there's a raw small-series sportscar building in England that uses the Stealth as a brand name that only makes the search harder.

reading the whole story there it looks like the "helicopter" was some sort of a prototype of a stealth project that never got completed.
Huey running gear... just like a Cobra....

pretty ugly.... almost looks like a "chopper"  ;D

(btw ... my neighbors little mini Pincher is called "Chopper" and the little guy wears a little doggy sweater. Poor dog . . .  )

not so much . . . no.

Here's a question:
Is there a difference between a glider and sailplane???

We got a reader letter of somebody who told us they prefer the term "sailplane"over "glider" . . .

Interesting question Mike.  I guess I'd always assumed a sailplane was one type of glider.  As opposed to say a Hang glider, or Para-glider for example.
