History and Discovery Channels
« on: January 10, 2007, 06:06:26 PM »
The History Channel had a program on the F-14 last night.  Very interesting;  they usually replay thier shows quite a bit, so check it out.  It was called Modern Marvels: Tomcat Sunset.

There's also an new program on the Discovery Channel called Most Deadly.  It talks about accidents in all types of industries.  Last night's program was on the Tenerife runway incursion.

Speaking of which, the history channel a few nights ago had a 9-11 day, where they showed all the different stuff on that.  One of the shows was, "Grounded on 9-11".  It was about how ATC responded and actually got all the planes down.  It gives a pretty good idea of how the ATC system works, and what we go through, as well as all the dificulties they had.
