Europe vs. US Flying?

Had a couple of Polish helicopter pilots come into the FBO I'm working at today looking for Alaskan Charts.  I got them set up with what they wanted, but they asked if there was anything that would tell them the differences between US and European proceedures?  Any suggestions?  They're coming back tomorrow.

Aww, man. I didn't see this post until now.
My guess would have been not to worry too much about flying in Alaska. I think Europe has waaaay more procedures than the States. They even have radio phrases everybody HAS to stick to. I think it has to do with not everybody being 100% fluent in English so they can guess what the tower is saying next. Do we have European pilots in here even?

I don't know that it matters now Mike.  The helicopter they were cold weather testing crashed.  No one was hurt, but it must have been pretty spectacular since airport maintenance was asking people to keep a look out for debri.  Apparently they found peices over 3,000ft from the crash site.  The certainly picked a good year for it though.  The average temp here in January was -34F, with several days of -55F.  ::sweat::

Russian or Polish helos?

Whoops... Over a kilometer from the crash site? Makes me wonder at what altitude it happened... :S

No idea on what type of helicopter it was.  Part of the flight test crew was Italian as well.  I haven't heard any details on the crash, just that everyone walked away from it.  If I hear more I'll let you guys know.
