no idea about how he's able to do that, just learning about electric 6D indoor aerobatics with reversible pitch prop and tilting mount motors  ::thinking::

Yeah, that is one special breed of totally crazy R/Cers...
Note that the times where it was just a tad too close make for impressive crashes too ;)

Yeah, I guessed that you would need a very special breed of helicopter for that. But you would also need incredible reflexes and coordination to fly like this. Or maybe it has some built-in computer that helps to stabilize? I don't understand how he can stop so precisely...

I was thinking of a special breed of pilots ;)

Usually the tail rotor is controlled by a high performance heading-lock gyro, which means that yaw angular speed is precisely controlled by the stick. The other axes naturally behave that way on a good heli, so it brings it all on the same level. But all the rest is just pilot skill.
