Requesting permission.
« on: February 03, 2011, 09:30:11 PM »
G'day,

To cut a long story short, I'm making a mockumentary of sorts and would like to create, what is essentially a chicken wings gag, as radio chatter. More specifically, a pilot of questionable competency misreading his instruments during an exchange with an ATC, as seen http://www.chickenwingscomics.com/?p=692

I don't plan on going so far as to mention chuck and I will be rewording things slightly however seeing as it is the same joke I feel it is only right that I first ask if you blokes would have any objections.

No worries, go ahead! Actually, we wouldn't even mind if you mentioned Chuck!  ;D

Thanks for asking though! Is it going to be a video? Be sure to post it here when it's finished!  |:)\

I'll just have to throw a "Is that you, Chuck?" line in there now!  ;)

The plan is to create a video where I review flying as if it were an MMORPG flight sim. A very silly little project where all of the "gameplay footage" will just be me with a camcorder filming everything from filling out  paperwork to some nice scenic shots at 1,000 feet displaying the amazing graphics engine! ;)

To get to the point, there will be a brief section in there that will include the humorous radio exchange.

Kel, please make sure you get the phraseology right:

"Chuck?  Is that you?"

Right On, and ^5!  I love your idea!    |:)\ ::drinking::
