Flying Low is Awesome!

You forgot to mention flocks of birds!   ::eek::

I'm a double ace when it comes to bird strikes.  Most were small... sparrows, pidgeons, etc, but once I hit a Canada Goose in a C210.  I believe I posted some pics of that somewhere here in the forum.  That was at night so I never saw the rest of the flock, but having flown near flocks of Snow Geese in daylight (which fly in flocks in excess of 10,000 birds) I can guarentee you that they will give you an "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" moment whenever it happens!

Another good one guys!   |:)\ ::bow::

And us R/C fliers  :P almost took down a two ship flight of R.A.F C130 Herc's , luckily they broke off before they over flew our site but it was amazing to watch these two A/C  split at low level ;D

I was JM on an BN-Islander when a bird struck the port side prop...guess it was a gull of some sort, judging from the mess on the fuselage and port side window/windscreen and engine cowl.

Plane, engine and prop was fine...but it did look freaking and gruesam when it landed. Took us all evening to mop the gore off the "bird" too. Yuck!
...Lurker...
I don't need an engine and a prop for my Skyarrow anymore...but I do need a testpilot for it. Chuck wanna step up?...on second thought, perhaps not.
