Anyone here flown a Compair?
« on: April 06, 2010, 03:26:36 AM »
The drop zone boss is looking into getting a few Compairs into Aussieland, has anyone in here had anything to do with them? ??? ??? ??? ???

They are butt ugly, BUT at 210 TAS and nearly 1300 kg useful load (that's a whole pile of meat bombs  ;D )they seem impressive

Hahaha meat bombs, I've never heard that expression before, thanks for a great laugh to wake up to. Personally I think those performance-figures makes the plane pretty.

::thinking:: UMMMmmm no Franklin no performance figures can make a plane that ugly look good,  ;D  But it seems he is going ahead with his plans to import and build them here so we'll wait and see what they are like..... probably has great climb performance due to the high amount of Earth repulsion factor  ;)

Ever heard of something being so ugly it goes full circle and becomes beautiful (this doesn't work for the Pontiac Aztek though)?

You guys can run homebuilts in a commercial operation?!?
Or is there some "dropzones are not commercial operations" loophole in effect here?
