Mikrokopter - Hexakopter
« on: February 22, 2010, 06:00:33 PM »
Someone sent this to me via email, and I thought I'd share it with you here since there are so many rotorheads in this forum!   ::cowboy::

http://vimeo.com/6194911

This is a most impressive demonstration of an RC Helicopter and what they can do.  I am amazed at the precision that can be obtained utilizing the GPS signal.  He literally pushes the hovering helo away with his hand and the son of a gun just goes right back to the same position and height!  Something else.   ::knockedout::

An interesting product from Denmark (if I am reading the internet address correctly).  Are you familiar with this guy Frank?

OK I'm impressed with the speed of that thing wonder if  I can set up my R/C planes with that "return home" mode  ::thinking:: .  Mersyside police are being investigated by the CAA for flying one of them with out permission( a four rotor version) while on a surveillance operation on a car thief who did get charged later on. since its classed as a UAV it needed specail certificate to be operated in UK airspace.

Thanks for sharing RC, impressive machine. This guy trust his machine for sure. I wouldn't put my throat that close to the spinning props.

I need one before next hunting season. For years, I've been trying to train my dog to go get another beer in the shelter without success. I'm sure that machine could be setup to sling beer all day long.

somebody just showed me the video at the helo convention....

Looks like the way of the future! I am sure the military will be interested in this one! ;)

When I worked in the toy industry, I guy I knew built a glider with a camera in it as a toy. The military got a hold of it, bought his design and patent and he retired with 48. He's an artist now.
Good stuff!

Oops.  Sorry dude.  I saw the .de internet address and assumed it was Denmark.  Apparently according to what you are saying to me in a language I do not speak, that is Germany!  Is that correct?   ::thinking::

I just did a quick check of the CIA World Factbook website and discovered Denmark's internet addy is .dk and Germany's is .de.  My bad.  Next time I'll do a little more research before I post, Frank.

Sorry, I forgot to add the smilie, I'm a bit stressed since my mom is in the hospital and it's worse than ever (again :( ). It was just meant jokingly, I probably made a lot of errors but it should say: No I don't know him since he's from Germany and not Denmark.

Yes, .de is a german internet page, .dk is Denmark (DK is also the nationality code for a danish car where a german car is just D).
