I have a job!

After 11 1/2 months of unemployment, I will start work in about a week for Green Mountain Concert Services Traffic control division.

It's on call, part time but I'll take what I can get. They don't guarantee a lot of hours but they are pretty busy.

I spent four hours today getting certified to do traffic control. I can marshal an A-320 into your back pocket but I needed a class for cars. I've got a feeling considering the quality of the others in my class today, I'll be a crew chief as soon as they can make me one.

At least the clouds are starting to have some kind of lining...

Do you have a CDL with HAZMAT endorsement? If so I could use a relief driver right now. We pay al travel, hotel, $40 per diem and time and half over 8 hours in a day--including travel days. Shoot me an e-mail if interested.

I still have my CDL, but I dropped my Hazmat back in 2000.  I was too lazy to take a written test.  Stupid of me.  Now it would take a year and several thousand dollars to go through the Dept of Homeland Security screening.   ::complaining: ::banghead::

Our drivers do it in about 6 weeks and $100. Are you sure we are talking about the same test?
