Ah yes OY-JET yes we've talked about this already. Really a bad promotion for danish pilot skills (it was his own plane and he just had a PPL).

Ah yes, another sad case of more money than brains. :(
Very curious about the engine though.  Maybe the auto pilot kicked in and was trying to reach altitude.  ???

Sorta like why V tail Bonanza's got a bad rep...too many doctors with more money then flight time buying them and making an expensive hole in the ground....
The average pilot, despite the sometimes swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring. These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

At least he has a sense of humor about it.... he replaced it with a Citation Sovereign with the registration OY-WET

How did he get insurance after that, I wonder? Or not be grounded after being that stupid, not to mention lying about the brakes, etc.? Maybehe has a hired pilot with common sense fly for him now!

The Sovereign is a much bigger jet that requires a crew of 2... So probably he either just rides in the back now or at least has another pilot up front to try to keep him out of trouble.

The explanation given for the engine on the other site was that when you turn on the ignitors on that particular jet if an engine fails the starter will spin the engine up to automatically attempt a restart.  After the mishap, he forgot to shut off the master and the system managed to get #2 restarted.  I imagine it started injesting water is why it failed the second time.

For whatever reason, I get audio but no video with that.  Must be using a codec I haven't downloaded to the laptop yet.

So what kind of file is it?

The sky and land joined for one brief moment, then we flew - the ground a receding memory for just a little while.

It's Fat Albert (the Blue Angel's support C-130) making a Jato Takeoff to some AC-DC music at Arctic Thunder 2004.  It's a fun vid if it shows up.  Put file has been giving me trouble lately

I had the same problem, hit the "refresh" or "reload" button and it worked fine for me after that.

Didn't watch the video, but there is a group with 3 airframes.  Two standard and one is the only trainer version of the 262 built.   They were refitting them with a modern GE turbofan (original engines did good to last 100 hours) that would provide modern reliability and fuel efficiency.   Last I heard they were planning on selling two of them and keeping the 3rd.... asking price was going to be well above my price range is all I remember about it.... something for a really rich guy with a lot of money to burn who wants a really special warbird.  ;)
