TSA and nipple rings
« on: March 29, 2008, 03:34:10 PM »
I was just checking out the story about a woman in Lubbock Texas who was "humiliated" by TSA when they made her remove her nipple rings before they would let her pass through security.  Seems TSA now admits they got a little carried away and are changing policy to allow a same-sex visual inspection instead of requiring removal.
I'm sure relieved to hear this................. ::sweat::

I mean, they're already profiling me whenever I go through airport security ::complaining:
I'm known as "the White, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant, Senior Citizen, Security Risk"  ::eek::  and must be frisked manually almost every time they see my shifty leering eyes in the scanners ::banghead::

Seems I have to get rid of my ponytail if I am to come to the US.. Would help with my profiling..

Just a thought: What if it were sexual organ piercing instead of nipple ones?  ::loony::
It's all Greek to me!

Hahahahaha---that would definitely call for an inspection (we could make some naughty comments here but please don't---this is a "G" rated board) ::rofl:: ::rofl:: ::rofl:: ::rofl::

But while we're on the subject I would like to ask anyone with that sort of piercing-----------"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING !!!" ::loony:: ::unbelieveable::

There wasn't much left in it (less than 3oz.) but they said it's the size of the container that matters.....

Good Idea, Mike.  Make TSA also have them remove their piercings.

The tough thing about making fun of TSA is that they have absolutely NO sense of humor!  I doubt they'd get it at all...

I can see Chuck telling Orville Wright;  "Sorry, that 5 oz toothpaste tube is not allowed even if it's almost empty" ::knockedout::

On a note of reality--I saw the TSA at VPS tell a woman to toss a perfume bottle because it was 4.3 ounces--A WHOLE .3 OF AN OUNCE OVER THE LIMIT!! ::rambo::

I guess rules is rules is rules is rules and there is NO flexibility and well as NO humor in the TSA   (reminds me of scene in "MIB" where Tommy Lee Jones says "no ma'am the FBI has no sense of humor that we're aware of") ::rofl::

That's what I had in mind but when I pitched it to my brother we came up with a far better one. Doesn't include the Wright Brothers but you guys will like it. Maybe I can post it in here when he's done....

I thought the limit was 3 oz.   ::thinking::
Does it depend on the TSA or on the airport?
