Hello Dimitru, and welcome to the Forum!

Sweet airplane you get to fly there.  I've only met one Mig 21 driver so far, but at the time he spoke no english and I spoke no russian.  We had a good time in an An-2 simulator however (yes, we were drunk at the time!  Hehe).

A good friend of my wife is from Romania, so I am sending her your link so she can translate for us.

Glad to have you aboard!

WHADDUP FISHBEDDOG?!?!?, Welcome to the Coop. Awsome that you're into the Migs and all!! ::bow:: ::bow:: ::bow::

I have a question. You know how we called the Soviet jets with nicknames, Fishbed,  Flogger, etc. Did the Soviets give special names to our aircraft?

Ah, sorry about that.    My second language is Russian.   Unfortunately I know very little Romanian, though I do have a very few words of Bosnian in my vocabulary :)

At any rate.... welcome aboard :)

interessno Ted, ia dumal chto tolka ia i R/C znaem chto-to russki :)

Gil: These are NATO codenames. No Russian fighter jet has russian nick as far as I know. On the other hand, Czechoslovak trainers did have - L29 is Delfin, L39 Albatros.

Nope, they just used the nicknames we gave our warbirds, I reckon.
