Hi All.
Following in AirtransRecon's recent footsteps ::bow:: , I recorded my first SOLO yesterday ::unbelieveable:: !!!!!!! Still smiling ;D even though i'm at work now and no where near any kind of aviation!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!

No buckets of water :o :o :o I got 2! Of course when I gave them to everyone, I made sure they were as cold as could be >:D >:D. Strangley though, the water I got was fairly warm!
Now to Babble, I remember one guy put on a raincoat and pants. So when I gave him the bucket, I poured it over his head. It went all down through the neck. Wusses don't belong in flying.
If I ever see you, I'll give you the bucket of water. ;D ;D It's a tradition.

When the danish prince (can't remember which one) became an F16 pilot he was thrown in a pool of water (on television too) if I remember correctly, slight difference but same principle I guess. And speaking as another person that doesn't even drink coffee and am more than happy enough to have nice talks with a lady who is fully clothed then I'd prefer the water over the dousing of beer and the stripclub trip :D

Don't get me started on what used to happen to Apprentice Motor Technicians ;D Buckets of Beer, water and being thrown into pools are nothing compared to the things that happened in the politically in-correct early 80's

Hey gibbo!!! Awesome job Dude!!! I did my first solo about a year ago and just got my real plastic pilot license in the mail on Sat. (I love the fact that the FAA puts those two guys from the Guinness commercials on the back) ----- "BRILLIANT"
Anyway....trust me when I tell you that smile will last for quite a while. Just enjoy every minute you get to fly. The long cross country flights are the best...straight and level...nothing but blue skies.....the purr of the engine......sorry....got lost in the moment there for a second.
GREAT JOB and keep me updated on your progress.

Congrats for the solo. I earned the bucket of water when I soloed in a glider and got the shirt cut off on my fixed wing solo. And I'm definately in on the beer and strip club, sounds like enough fun might just do that with no particular reason. Again congrats on the solo and let the fun begin

Hehe! Actually, my favorite evening style, is out with male friends, in front of liters of beer. Much more relaxed, no discussions about manucure and diets, though, we never went to a strip bar. But well, there is your flight to party, isn't it?

I see you have a lot to experience still my young Padawan Learner. Even more a reason to go with us (ahem.... "drive" us) ...
My room mate back in my flight school days was dating a stripper and she was very good looking!! I have seen quite a few good looking strippers (I live in Vegas, remember)just didn't have much luck with the ones I've seen on stage.
They're out there. I guess we'll just have to do some research. I am sure the "beer dousing" won't needmuch practice or research, so we can concentrate on the other part ;) ::drinking:: ::drinking::

I must confess I don't understand this thread. What's with the emphasis on appearance? And a research trip involving beer? Given the potential for error with this if one is under the influence, I don't think any kind of alcohol should be involved. My brother once hired a stripper. She wasn't young or good looking, but man-- she did an absolutely fantastic job! The paint was stripped off the siding in no time, with no damage to the window frames at all! We were able to start putting the new coats of paint on the wood siding the next day. ::angel:: TM

My Uncle was walking through Kings Cross (in Sydney) and a stripper/professional lady told him she would do anything he wanted for $200 ... he said "Great can you come back to my place and.........help me paint the house!!!" ::rofl:: ::rofl:: Must have been TM's brothers helper too!! :D
