Title: Question to all Computer/Internet geeks
Post by: Stef on August 03, 2010, 09:01:28 PM
Hi fellas!

Can anybody recommend a cool website statistic software/script that tracks visitors in real time?

After installing our new website, I've been trying to add a cool real time website statistic to it. I've tried to implement Google Analytics, but even though I did everything according to instructions, and it tells me it's receiving data, it only shows 2 or 3 visitors in the report. I know we have a few more than that. And I've tried other scripts, such as "Clicky", but after installing it, I saw on the statistics page that I would have to pay if I want to track more than 3000 page views a day. With our traffic (which isn't bad, but not *that* high), we'd have had to pay $50 a month...

It doesn't have to be totally free, but I want something affordable, that's not opening popup windows or creating spam warnings with our visitors... we had a cool one years ago that was called nextgenstats, but they shut down a couple of years ago or so.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hm, looks okay, but what makes me suspicious is that is says you can sign up for a "free trial" but doesn't mention what the limits of the trial are, or what it'd cost to go pro... (at least I couldn't find it, and service providers that hide their prices always make me uncomfortable).
