Title: Tundra Comics!
Post by: Mike on January 23, 2010, 08:44:34 PM
Have you guys ever heard of "Tundra Comics"? (www.tundracomics.com (http://www.tundracomics.com))
Chad Carpenter is the guy behind this great comic strip and I think he's a great replacement for Gary Larson. His ideas are down the same idea and they are hillarious! Also, we're very happy he also likes us. We wrote him a fan letter a while back. Kinda stoked about it so I had to share it with somebody.... ;D
This is his response:
Name: Chad "TUNDRA" Carpenter
Email: tundra@arctic.net
Comments: Hello Mike & Stefan -
My nam e is Chad and I am the cartoonist of the comic strip TUNDRA. First of all, I'd like to apologize for not getting back to you until now. One of you emailed me a while back and I intended to get back with you much sooner. I must have been distracted by a shiny object or something, because I forgot. I couldn't find the original email you sent but I wanted to let you know how much I like CHICKEN WINGS - It is a wonderfully funny & beautifully drawn comic strip! One of the best I've ever seen. You are very gifted and I wish you the best of success with ALL of your projects.
With warmest wishes,
Chad www.tundracomics.com (http://www.tundracomics.com)

I met him in person a couple years ago at our outdoor show in Fairbanks. I'm sure he's been there since then, it's just that I haven't been able to! He's a great guy, really amiable.

Wow, what a fan-letter reply, and yes the Tundra Comic is very fun, I think it's also sometimes in the danish Beetle Bailey comic.
