Tremendously upsetting. 

That's one of my common local flying routes, and while I don't know the people in question personally, I have a friend who helps out with that cadet group who've just lost two instructors and two girls on air experience flights.  Just horrible.

Before the aircraft were identified I spent the day fielding phone calls from frightened relatives afraid (in spite of the fact it was a weekday and I was in work) that it might be me.

Yes, it is very tragic.   :'(

Condolences to your friends as well;  that is a lot of loss to go through.

I flew today and our local cadet's motorgliders were back in the sky.  That was very good to see.  Where there's life...
